Stafford Netball Club is run entirely by volunteers, from coaches to committee members to Team Managers.
We are always keen to hear from anyone who is interested in volunteering some time to help us; this may be a few hours at home to complete some administration, to a more regular committment to help manage a team. The formal committee roles are voted in at our annual AGM but these sometimes become vacant throughout the year, and we have social events that benefit from a few extra hands. If you might have a few hours to spare, please contact the club via the email address and we will be able to discuss how you are able to help.
YOUNG LEADERS:
We have a Young Leaders Scheme that is aimed to encourage our young members to become involved in netball in a voluntary capacity; this may be to develop skills in Coaching, Umpiring or the administrative tasks behind the scenes. Recent successes of this pathway have included:
- Two of our U18 players completed their Level One Coaching Award and are now progressing towards their Level 2 (requirement to be aged 18 before this can be completed)
- One U18 and One U16 players passed their Level C Umpiring Award
- Four U14 players have completd their Into Officiating Course and are now practising their skills during their Young Leader Sessions bfore taking thieir final assessment
Players will only help in age groups below their own. PLease contact the club via our email address if you are interested in becoming involved as a rota is set up to ensure Young Leader numbers are limited per session.
COACH AND UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT:
We are very keen to develop our qualified coaching and umpiring volunteers in the club. Please contact us if you are interested as club may be able to support your development
