History of the Club
Founded in 2005 as Stafford Borough Netball Club, the club began with just two dedicated coaches — one a primary school teacher introducing children, mainly from her own school, to the sport — supported by a small group of enthusiastic parent volunteers.
Two years later, with the support of another long-standing coach, the club became independent and was renamed Stafford Netball Club. From those modest beginnings, it has grown into the thriving and successful club we know today.
As well as developing talented netball players, the club is passionate about teaching valuable life skills including teamwork, leadership, commitment, respect, resilience, and sportsmanship — learning how to win with grace and lose with dignity.
Today, Stafford Netball Club provides opportunities for players from Year 2 through to senior adults, with teams competing across multiple leagues throughout Staffordshire and Stoke. Several players have also gone on to achieve selection for County and Franchise Super League Pathways.
